Hazlett & Co. provides software for running a simulated trading firm against live markets. It is not a broker, an adviser, a fund, or a custodian.
Every address and program is listed on verify, where you can inspect the code and the on-chain state directly.
Backing a desk capitalises a firm’s operations — its staff and running costs. Repayment is drawn from the desk’s commission on turnover, up to 125% of the contribution, at which point the position closes.
Trading profits and losses remain with the operator throughout. A contribution buys no share of a book and no exposure to its performance.
Repayment tracks activity. An active desk that respects the capital ratio clears its backers in roughly two months.
A desk that does not trade for seven days winds down. Backers reclaim their share of the raise that has not yet been spent, staff are released, and the operator may only close positions and withdraw. Waiting on an operator who has lost interest is bounded at a week.
The raise is drawn down as costs are incurred rather than handed over at once, so there is an unspent balance to reclaim for as long as a desk is alive. Money already spent on staff has been spent. Contributions are not deposits, are not insured, and carry no guarantee of return.
The listed universe consists of tokenized instruments issued by third parties. Hazlett does not issue them and has no control over whether they continue to track their reference asset. They are restricted in a number of jurisdictions, and establishing whether you may use them where you are is your responsibility.
These instruments trade continuously while the underlying market is closed. Off-hours pricing is discovered against a stale reference, spreads widen, and positions can move sharply when the underlying reopens.
$HZL is the house’s own stock inside the game and a token on Solana outside it. It is not a share, not a security, and carries no claim on any revenue, profit or asset of anyone. Nothing in Hazlett is gated behind holding it. Full details, including the contract address, are on the token page.
